Monogram a Gift

Sometimes all you need is a really cool monogram decal or sticker to add a touch of personalization. Pick up a set of mini wooden checkers, or a cigar box, and turn it into a personalized keepsake box.

You can then print your dad’s initials, monogram, logo. Grab some scissors, and cut out the template. Now, trace the design and paint it!

In the example below we used our vinyl cutter, printed/cut a personalized monogram and attached it to our wooden chess set case.

Quick Deploy Survival Paracord Bracelet

Is dad an outdoorsy guy? Does he WANT to be? Well, this bracelet may just be the thing to get him started. I love these because you can make the bracelet from one long piece of paranoid, and take it apart in seconds! This is crucial if you’re in a situation where you need rope (especially when camping) but don’t want to rely on carrying it in a bag.

This is a fashionable every day carry item, and is functional too!

Search instructions for a Millepede Quick Deploy Paracord Bracelet and you’ll likely find a video like this:

All you need is about 14 feet of paranoid, a stainless steel shackle, and a little weaving =)

Personalized Mug

Maybe dad is more of the in-house coffee drinker. Well, make him a special coffee mug! Here’s a tutorial for making a truly unique mug. That one has a heart cut-out, however, you can make the cutout whatever you like. Maybe you print the New York City skyline, or his favorite sports team name, his initials, or a Non-Political Slogan like Make Coffee Great Again. =)

Another idea is to draw a mustache or beard, bake the ceramic mug (curing it) and now you got yourself an original manly mug. Its manly because it has a mustache or beard, duh!

Custom Greeting Card

How about making dad a funny and quirky greeting card?

If you have access to a computer or tablet, there are many apps and programs available (even online programs) where you can create custom greeting cards. Simply open a document, set the dimensions for a greeting card (typically an A2 or A4 card/envelope) and design your card.

Maybe you borrow an original picture of dad and the kids, or add a funny quote about his favorite car company (For a Dad that’s Tougher than Ford!).

Print, cut, fold and stuff with a loving message and perhaps a gift-card to his (or your) favorite restaurant.
