About me (Angel)

Welcome to WittyThings

My name is Angel and I am the co-owner of WittyThings.us, along with my wife Raquel.  We are the proud parents of three wonderful kids, and we live and operate in Connecticut, USA.  I was born in the Dominican Republic and moved to the United States (New York City) in the early 90’s. Since then I’ve completed a career in the United States Marine Corps, I’ve earned my MBA in business, and I’ve learned a few lessons along the way.

My wife and I own and operate Witty Things (an extended part of WoodyThings.com), an online shop where we design, make and market the products you see here today. We launched our first online shop, WoodyThings.com, because we want to replicate the feeling of handmade, meticulously sculpted piece of custom gifts customarily awarded to Marines as they completed their career. WittyThings.us is an extension of our passion to bring smiles to others by providing funny, witty, tongue-in-cheek products you can wear and gift to others.

Feel free to check out our WoodyThings blog, where we post Do-it-Yourself How-To projects you can complete at home. Our WittyThings blog will offer new releases, project ideas and other product releases.

I am honored to have led many in operations here in the United States as well as overseas. I have had some great mentors and leaders that have helped me develop a leadership style that has been very fulfilling and successful for me on a personal and professional level.  I currently work in the public sector overseeing asset management/compliance. (Feel free to find me on LinkedIn where I list my professional bio).
As an American veteran, I feel there is much work to be done in an effort to empower and assist our returning vets a smooth transition back into civilian life. As such, I work hand-in-hand with Devil Dog USA, Inc. to make sure our vets get the assistance they’ve earned.
Lastly, I produce and publish content to further assist entrepreneurs, managers, and business people run a profitable organization through leadership. Often times businesses fail because the leaders fail to adapt to the industry, and simply fail to lead accordingly. To learn more about that venture, feel free to check out my Smart Biz Practices page.
